The fine art of weaving with glass Beads and wire

Artist’s Statement

My inspirations come from intriguing architecture and nature with a focus on details, geometric shapes,

pronounced colors and a strong story theme behind the structures. When I see an interesting building

it has to speak to me in a way that I want to recreate it so others can see the beauty I see. I feel it’s

important to tell a story not only from the outside perspective but also from the inside.

I build each structure carefully by hand cutting basswood and using epoxy to join together the wooden

pieces. With the addition of other materials like polymer clay, glass beads, crystals, metal, epoxy

sculpting clay, glass, paint, wire, small lamps and LED lights are used to embellish the wood structures.
